William's One Year Old Portrait Session

(If you're viewing this on an email, visit the site to see the pictures!)

Another amazing session by Matt Lange. Please check out his website at http://www.mattlange.com/. He met us at the Highland Road Park one Saturday morning. We had a great time, and think the pictures were outstanding, as usual. Mommy says he has an incredible talent for capturing all my personality and joy in a photograph.
Hope you enjoy seeing these!

Tomorrow is my birthday!

It's becoming much clearer now....

Guesses as to exactly what the pictures is??
(And don't just say it's me, be more specific! There might just be a prize for the winner....
And if you're one of the 5 people who've already seen this picture, your guesses don't count!)

Getting Ready for My Party

Last night I helped Mommy and Grannie decorate a bunch of sugar cookie suckers for my birthday parties this weekend. Grannie let me taste-test the frosting - I approved!

First, I used my fingers to taste a little....

Then I leaned over to get more out of the bowl...
And then decided it'd be best to just pick the bowl up and lick....
Mmm.... green icing! That was yummy!
I, of course, got a bath immediately after that!
Here's the finished product, ready for packaging for the party:

Pictures from Our Weekend in Ruston

Mommy downloaded some pictures from the camera - finally! Here's a couple from when we were in Ruston a few weeks ago. Mommy was in a meeting all day Saturday, so I hung out with Daddy. We had a great day - he even took me to Applebee's for mac-n-cheese! The most fun was when it was time to check out of the hotel. Daddy's very accustomed to the check-out process, but he's certainly not used to doing it with three people's luggage and a kid so he had to get creative. When we go places, Mommy and Daddy usually bring my booster seat so I have a safe place to eat my meals where I can't fall out of a chair (not all places have high chair, especially hotels, or other people's homes). So, Daddy strapped my seat to the luggage cart, and off we went!

We spent that Friday evening with the Kings - Mr. Jim, Mrs. Lori, Collin, and Abbie. They're like family to Mommy - she spent a LOT of time with them when she was at Louisiana Tech. It's hard for Mommy to believe that when she first met them Collin was just a few months older than I am now! Abbie's now finishing up her freshman year of high school, and Collin's about to start junior high. They're an amazing family, and we're so lucky to have them as part of our "family." Here's a picture of me with Collin and Abbie!

This morning Grannie took my to the playground. We had a great time. Here are a few pictures she sent to Mommy!

One Year Ago Today

We lived in Michigan when I was born, so a lot of people didn't get to see Mommy when she was pregnant. Here's a picture that was taken one year ago today. It was a Sunday morning. After church, Daddy took Mommy to a park with a lake near our condo. After being stuck inside all winter because of the snow, Mommy wanted to be outside. So, they went to this park a lot the last few weeks before I arrived.

Daddy has a remote control sailboat and he'd put it out on the water and sail it around while Mommy read a book. They still laugh about it now. Inevitably, as soon as he'd get the boat out in the middle of the lake, Mommy would tell him they had to leave because she needed to go to the restroom (It was my fault - I moved around a lot!). So these trips were never long!

This picture was taken the day before her labor started, three days before I arrived. At this point, many people asked if she was having twins. I guess when you have a 10 lb. 9 oz. baby, this is what you look like. In retrospect, she's pretty impressed with how well she was still getting around at this point!
