Zoo Lights

A few days after Christmas, when Parin and Aunt Emmy were still in town, we all headed out to the zoo for Zoo Lights.  It was a nice cool evening, and we had a great walk around the zoo looking at all the lighted animals.  We didn't see many of the real animals, though - I think they were all asleep.  But the lights were pretty, and we got lots of pictures!

I even got in on some of the pictures, too!

Then when we found the "Paw Paw Birds", we all got a great group picture!

The Mire Family Christmas

Finally, it was time for us to do our Christmas with Grangie, PawPaw, Parin Kent, and Nanny!!  It didn't take long once they gave us presents for me and Bubby to start digging in!

Parin and Aunt Emmy got me a UPS truck!

And they bought me some boots!  Nanny knows I like to be stylish!

Whoa!  A hard hat, just like Bob wears!

I'm loving these boots!

Paw-Paw's and Grangie's turn.....!

I helped everybody open their presents!

Wait... more presents for us!

An InnoTab.... it's like an iPad just for me!

Parin got some cowboy boots.  I think he's spent a little too much time in Texas!

I'm such a big girl with my Little Tykes car grocery cart!

It's a Party!

The day after Christmas, Grangie and PawPaw had a bunch of people come over to their house.  All day long, people kept coming and going. We got to see lots of different people.  But the anticipation of opening presents was looming.  See, Parin and Aunt Emmy arrived that morning.  I knew we still had to have our Christmas with them.  Everyone kept telling me we'd do it later that day, once all our visiters had left.  But see, Grangie and Paw-Paw throw such great parties with such yummy food, no one ever wants to leave!  We had a great day, nonetheless.

I hung out with my Cousin Ethan (and Ryan)... we even shared a Coke when we were hot from bouncing so much.  Ethan couldn't believe Mommy let me have Coke.  But it was Christmas and all.  :)

Everyone really enjoyed all the gumbos, potato salad, and desserts!

We even took time for some posed pictures.  Here's Grangie with her "little" (okay, younger) brother, my Uncle Tony.

Too bad Madeline was napping.  This is my with Ryan and Ethan, the great-grandkids in Grangie's family.

The out-laws in-laws joined in on the fun, too!

The whole Burger family (minus Adam)

Throughout the day, different people gave us gifts.  Here I am opening some with Wyatt.

Aunt Jean made me a Louisiana Tech blanket.  It's so soft and I love sleeping with it!

Nanny helped me with my presents.

As we rounded out the day, Bubby took more a great ride on my car - now that's what Big Brothers are supposed to do!
