Storytime with Mrs. Claus and Tillie the Clown

Every Wednesday, Grannie takes me to storytime at the library. This week was special because we got a visit from Mrs. Claus and Tillie the Clown. I had a great time!

Tillie the Clown was funny!

Mrs. Claus was very sweet. She gave me a candy cane and promised me that she'd tell Santa Claus I am a very good boy!

Before we left, I had to check out the books. I always get to borrow two books each week. We bring them back the next week and get two more. It's great because I always have something new to read!

Thanks "La-La"!

A few months ago, Aunt Leslie, my Godmother, moved to Houston. Before she left, she came over for a long visit. I can't say "Leslie", but I can say La-La, so she decided she'd be La-La until I can say Aunt Leslie.
We're not sure if our schedules will jive for us to see her at Christmas, so she mailed a package with my gifts to me. I was very excited when the UPS man rang our doorbell. Daddy opened the big brown box and found two presents for me inside! I was very excited! Mommy and Daddy told me I could open them tonight. There'll be enough to keep me overwhelmed on Christmas, so I may as well enjoy the gifts slowly!

I was very deligent about my unwrapping process. And I did NOT like the idea of just throwing the torn paper onto the floor.

But I had no problems pulling the tissue paper out to see what was inside!

New pajamas and socks! I love pajamas!

My attention was very quickly diverted to the second present which awaited my unwrapping skills.

It's the Little People Airplane! I absolutely am obsessed with airplanes! As soon as I saw it, I began making the airplane noise. (We'll just have to get that on video - it has no spelling!) There were pictures of me playing with it out of the box, but they were very blurry because I was moving around too fast! But I really like it!

Christmas Cookies

Last night Mommy and I started baking Christmas cookies! I helped her stir the dry ingredients before adding them to the mixer. Then, when the chocolate batter was made, I helped Mommy put the mint m&m's on them.

I carefully placed them, one at a time, on each ball of dough. We made sure each cookie had red and green candies.

I pushed each m&m into the dough so that it would stay in place.

Then, as soon as I thought Mommy wasn't looking, I pulled an m&m off a cookie and ate it! Each time I'd smile and let out a little snicker! Mommy's pretty sure I ate more m&m's that we got on the cookies! But we had fun, and that's what counts.

Our Family Christmas Portraits

We had our family Christmas portraits done this past weekend. As always, Matt of Photography by Matt Lange did an amazing job capturing our smiles and personality. He's so incredibly talented!

When Mommy and Parin were growing up, they got "12 Days of Christmas" gifts. Each day Grannie and Paw-Paw gave them each a small gift to help count down the days 'til Christmas. Mommy wanted to do this with me to carry the tradition on. Last year I was too young to understand, so they waited until this year to do it. I'm sure I'll catch on very quickly!

Organizing Mommy's Cabinets

Mommy was cooking in the kitchen. To help her out, I decided to reorganize her pots and pans for her! I pulled everything out of the cabinet. Then I carefully matched the pots and lids. Then we put them all back in together!
