Welcome Baby Gabbie!

Our cousin, Jenny, and her husband, Nick, welcomed their new baby girl into the world Monday - Gabrielle Ainsley! Mom, Grannie, and I met Paw-Paw in Lafayette to visit the newest member of our family last night. She's so little! I was fascinated with her. I gave her a kiss on her forehead, then proceeded to make sure everyone else in the room kissed her to. Welcome to the world, Gabbie!

Mr. Pumpkin Head

Aunt Leslie came over this afternoon for a visit. Soon, she'll be moving to Houston because her job has transfered her. I'm sad, but I know I'll still get to see her a lot! She brought me a bucket of Halloween goodies, since she won't be here for Halloween. One of the goodies was a pumpkin decorating kit. If you remember earlier posts, Aunt Leslie gave me a Mr. Potato Head toy that I just love playing with -- she said this decoration set remind her of Mr. Potato Head. Parin had told Mom about some giant pumpkins for sale at Sam's. While I was napping this afternoon, Daddy went to Sam's and bought me a pumpkin. We had lots of fun tonight decorating it! I think we went through about a dozen interations before I stopped changing all the eyes, noses, mouths, and ears! It's going to be a llllooooonnnnnggggg October!!! (I think I'll need multiple pumpkins!)

Hugging my new pumpkin!

Mommy showed me how to push the pieces into the pumpkin.

Then she let me do it on my own!

I changed the ears about a dozen times!

It's lookin' good now!

Just one last tweek - I think the ear's in the wrong place...

Ah.... Now that's a good lookin' pumpkin!

That was hard work! I needed a snack, so me and
Mr. Pumpkin Head sad down to eat some Nilla Wafers!

Got Milk?

I do!

Chocolate-Covered Sprinkle Donut Holes

I love Sundays when we get donuts after church! A few weeks ago we got donuts 'to go' and brought them home. When we got home, I discovered the greatest thing: chocolate-covered donut holes with sprinkles! Mommy gave me some of them, and some plain ones. It didn't take me long to realize they were special! I kept trying to trade for the better ones!

Feeding Myself with a Fork

I've been asserting my independence a LOT lately. Most recently, I've decided that I need to fee myself with my fork. For a long time I've let an adult put food on the fork, then hand it to me to eat off the fork. But now... I want to put the food on it myself! And I'm doing a surprisingly well! Here's a couple pictures of me eating some chicken and green beans. You can see my big smile - I'm so proud!

Getting ready to eat!
Going for a bite...
Up to the mouth....

That was yummy!!
