St. Andrews Preschool Christmas Program & Class Party

Wednesday was our last day of school until after New Year's.  In perfect preschool form, we ended it with a Christmas program and a class party.  Mrs. Melissa, my Spanish and Music teacher, has been working with us since about Halloween to learn the music for our program.  And our hard work paid off!  We did a fantastic job!  All the boys sang "We Three Kings".  And as a full group we sang "Rudolph, the Red Nosed Reindeer," "Feliz Navidad," and "We Wish You a Merry Christmas".  It was absolutely adorable!

[We have video of the program which we'll post here soon!]

After our program, we went back to our classroom for our class' Christmas party.  We got to decorate gingerbread people cookies!  Here I am at my table with three of my classmates: Kate (white dress), Tristyn (red bow), and Kinley (red dress).  I site with these pretty girls every day!  Kate is my crush.  :)

We had a great time decorating cookies!  We had bags of icing and lots of different green and red candies to decorate them with!  I made sure to make room for every piece of candy they gave me!

Here's my cubby hole.  I put my booksack and lunchbox here every day.  This day, it was filled with Christmas gifts from all my teachers and classmates!

Mommy helped to plan our Christmas party with a few other mommies.  So she was there to party with me!

Thanks to Mommy, Daddy, Madeline, Grangie, Paw-Paw, Gram, and Papa for coming to see my program!

Christmas with Parin (Uncle Donald) & Aunt Barbara

Parin and Aunt Barbara are going to be out of town on Christmas, so Monday night they came over to Paw-Paw's and Grangie's house to celbrate with us a little early.  And they brought us some presents!  Needless to say, I can hold my own in the present-opening, and need no assistance!

It may have taken me a little longer, but I got my gifts opened!  I love my Little People pink car!  Now I have my own car to play with and don't have to just use Bubby's!

They gave me a new garbage truck!  I don't know how she does it, but Aunt Barbara always seems to find a garbage truck that I don't have yet -- and that's pretty hard because I have a LOT!

We love you Aunt Barbara and Parin!!!

Our Christmas Lights

Last weekend we were roaming around the house in our cute Santa hats saying "Ho! Ho! Ho!"  (times ten!) Adorable, of course!  Then I decided I wanted to go outside and see our decorations.  So Mommy grabbed her camera and we all headed out.  She caught a few cute moments!  And yes, I'm walking while holding Bubby's hand!

Our Visit with Aunt Leslie

Aunt Leslie, my Godmother, lives in Houston, so we don't get to see her nearly as often as we wish.  But last weekend she and Uncle Aaron were in the Houma area to celebrate the holidays with their families.  So we made plans to get together with them!  Saturday evening, we drove to Thibodaux to have dinner with them.  We were so excited to see each other!

Aunt Leslie loves making silly faces for the camera!

She gave me a Christmas gift.  When I opened it, it was a piece of paper with lots of pictures of basketballs and basketball goals.  Then Aunt Leslie told me that she had one for me in a big box in her car.  I was SOOO excited!  So after we ate our dinner, Uncle Aaron carried the box to our van.  We had to lay the seat down to fit it inside!  I couldn't wait to get home!

Daddy put it together for me that night, and I played for a little while.  But after church Sunday, we brought it out on our deck in the backyard so I got to play a lot!  I just love it so much!

My Play-n-Pray Christmas Party

That's right, Madeline here.  This post is just about me!  Last Friday was my Play-n-Pray Christmas party at church!  Mommy gave Bubby the option of coming, too, so he could see his friends.  But he told her he's "too big for those children" and just wanted to go to his school.  He also told her, "If I don't go to school, I won't know what to do for our Christmas program next week!"  (More about that in a later post.)

So after we dropped Bubby off at school, Mommy took me to the party.  I got to spend a lot of time hanging out with my best girlfriend, Agnes Mae.  We shared puffs and goldfish!  I saw my other friends too, but Mommy wasn't very snap-happy with the camera.  Well, I'll admit, I can be quite the handful sometimes.  And... well... it may have something to do with me constantly trying to squeeze any Capri Sun I could get my hands around!  Oh, the joys of an almost completely mobile toddler!

What, did I say mobile?  That's right - for about a week now I've been taking a few steps at a time completely unassisted.  Yep, lookout world!
