Disney Day #4 - Epcot

Wednesday morning we headed over to Epcot. We arrived just as the park was opening! We first went to the show "Turtle Talk with Crush." It was an interactive electronic turtle - really neat! Then we walked around the different "countries" for a while. We rode a boat through The Land exhibit where we saw how they grow all kinds of different plants, fruits, and vegetables. All the "big people" got to ride "Soarin'," but I was too little so they took turns walking around with me so everyone got a chance to ride. We rode a boat in Mexico, then I fell asleep.

When I woke up, I ate lunch. After we ate, we walked outside and found lots of characters with very short lines! I got to see Baloo (The Jungle Book), Donald Duck, Goofy, Pluto, and Minnie Mouse. There were a few others, but they had to leave before I got to see them all. Mommy, Daddy, Parin, and Grannie rode cars around a test track where they got to go around curves at 80+ MPH! After that, I was getting really tired, so Mommy took me back to the hotel and I went to bed early. I needed the rest! Everyone else stayed at Epcot to see their fireworks and laser lights display.

Disney Day #3 - Magic Kingdom

Tuesday morning we headed over to the Magic Kingdom. I had lots of fun there! It was really cold, so I had to be all bundled up! A couple layers, and I stayed warm. I rode the Astro Orbiter (high flying "rockets") and the Tomorrowland Transit Authority (a people mover tram) in TomorrowLand. We also played an interactive game on the Buzz Lightyear ride, too. We moved onto FantasyLand where I got to ride "It's a Small World", the flying Dumbos, and the carousel!

Mommy, Daddy, Grannie, Paw-Paw, Parin, and Aunt Emmy rode some other things I wasn't big enough to ride, like Thunder Mountain Roadroad. We were going to watch the parade, but found out it wasn't running that night. So, we left on the ferry back to the parking lot and watched the fireworks from there, with plans to go back Thursday night for the parade and fireworks. It was a fun day!

Disney Day #2 - Hollywood Studios

Monday morning we started our Disney vacation in pure Disney-style! We had a character breakfast at the Cape May Restaurant at the Beach Club Resort on Disney property. We got to eat a yummy breakfast spread while Donald Duck, Minnie Mouse, and Goofy visited our table. It was a great way for me to get introduced to the characters in a calmer setting. I was a little unsure at first, but when each one made their second (and third!) visits to our table, I was much more comfortable. I started to figure out how to give them my autograph book and pen, let them sign, the pose for a picture.
In the lobby of the resort was an incredible gingerbread carousel. And everyone knows how much I love carousels! It was amazing!
Then we drove to Downtown Disney, parked, and took a bus to Disney's Hollywood Studios (formerly MGM Studios). I've never been on a bus before, so I enjoyed that. I held onto the pole very tightly!
At Hollywood Studios, Aunt Emily and Mommy took me to walk through the Pixar Studios section while Daddy, Grannie, Paw-Paw, and Parin rode the Tower of Terror. I was too small for it, and Aunt Emmy and Mommy were too scared! When they asked me who I wanted to see next, probably meaning a Disney character, I said "Jesus!" Well, low and behold, the three of us found Baby Jesus! I was very excited!
We caught up with the others and all saw the Hollywood Studios Block Party Parade. I really enjoyed that a lot! Buzz Lightyear, Mike & Scully, the bugs from A Bug's Life, and lots of toys were dancing through the streets. We even saw Mr. Potato Head!
We saw a few shows, took the Backstage Tour, then saw some incredible dancing Christmas lights. After the lights, we caught the last showing of the Muppets 3D Spectacular. It was a great day!

Walt Disney World -- Day #1

Our day began very early this morning. At about 5:00 AM, Mommy came into my room to wake me up. As soon as she said "go on an airplane," I was ready to be up! Grannie and Paw-Paw had spent the night at our house, so I got changed and we all loaded up in Paw-Paw's truck to head to the New Orleans Airport. From there, we flew to Orlando!
After landing, we learned very quickly that not all "7 passenger vans" have enough cargo space for seven passengers' luggage! Just with Mommy, Daddy, Grannie, Paw-Paw, and me, we were stuffed full in our Chevy Traverse! (I don't think Mommy and Daddy will be getting one of those any time soon!) But we still had to pick up Parin & Aunt Emmy in less than an hour! So we drove straight to our condo, dropped off the bags, then headed back to get them. It all worked out!
We then headed to Downtown Disney. It's not one of the parks, but is an area with lots of restaurants and shops. We were all hungry and wanted some lunch! We picked the Rainforest Cafe. It was a lot of fun! There were lots of fish in aquariums for me to look at, and the animals all around us came alive every half-hour. I really enjoyed watching the gorillas, elephants, and the big butterfly!
After lunch we went to a few shops, including Goofy's Candy Emporium and the Toy Shop. At the Toy Shop I saw a giant Mr. Potato Head! I recognized him immediately! Inside Mommy and Daddy put together a box of new Mr. Potato Head accessories for me to take back to my Mr. Potato Heads at home. I even have Mickey Mouse ears for them!
Then we headed onto our condo. I took a nice long nap while Mommy, Daddy, Aunt Emmy, and Parin went to get groceries for our week here. We had dinner at the condo and just hung out. I've been a giggle box all night! But now, I'm sound asleep!
Tomorrow is going to be fun! We get to start the day with breakfast with Mickey & Friends! Check back tomorrow night for an update! Meanwhile.... enjoy these pictures from today!

Up, Up, and Away!

Uncle James' dad flies airplanes. On New Years Day, he was at the Hammond airport with one of his single-engine Cesnas. We drove over so I could see an airplane up-close. Sure, I've flown many commercial flights, but I'm still not making the connection between seeing the big airplane from the window and walking down the jetbridge to get on the airplane.

I got to walk right up to the airplane and touch it!

I got to look inside it, too!

Then I got to sit inside it! Right at the steering wheel!

There were more planes as I quickly figured out!

Then it had to go "bye-bye". We watched it take off high into the sky.
I cried when we had to leave - I really enjoying my time at the airport!
Thanks, Uncle James, for coordinating my visit.
And thanks to Mr. Glen and the Carter Family for sharing your airplane with me!

Uncle James & Miss Anne Visited Us

On their way to New Orleans for New Years, Uncle James and his girlfriend, Miss Anne, came to visit us. I had such a very fun time with them! Thanks for coming to visit!!

Helping Daddy

Daddy installed some new shelves in my room last week to handle all my new toys I got for Christmas. I couldn't help but pull out my own tools (Thanks, Aunt Leslie!) and get in on the action!

Christmas #4

We spent the day after Christmas at Grannie and Paw-Paw's house. We woke up and opened presents. Later, most of our extended family came over to enjoy the festivities some more. We had lunch, exchanged more gifts, and played outside a lot. It was gorgeous outside that day!
