My Dream Day!

On Daddy's birthday, Paw-Paw came to town so they could take him out to dinner that night. During the day, while Mommy and Daddy were working, I got to hang out with Grannie and Paw-Paw. And of course we ended up at the mall!

That day turned out to be a kid's day, with free carousel rides for a few hours. I was in heaven! There were lots of charachters from different business, too. I enjoyed seeing them all.

Daddy came back from work the day after our visit to Jennings. That evening we went to dinner with Aunt Leslie and Uncle Aaron. We had a great time! The next day we had lunch with Grandpa & Gigi, Gram & Papa, Mrs. Kacie & Denver, and Miss Michelle & Mr. Andy to celebrate Daddy's birthday. Mommy invited them all to meet us at Zea's. The food was really yummy! Mommy and I made a cake for Daddy, so we shared that with everyone. Here are some photos from the fun!

Yes, it's been a very long time since you've seen an update. We've been really busy!

The last weekend in June, Mommy and went to Jennings to visit Aunt Danielle and her new baby, Mary Grace. Mary Grace is such a cutie pie! Mommy held her and I couldn't stop giving her sweet kisses and hugs. I wanted her to play with my toys, but she didn't seem interested. I even got to hold her for a minute to take some pictures - I really liked that!

That evening Mommy and I went to our cousins Jena and Jelani's wedding in Scott (near Lafayette). We had a good time, and I got to play with all my cousins. I even danced with them to the music!

There was only one small problem with the whole weekend. Near the end of the wedding, Mommy realized that the camera she'd been using all day had no memory card in it. We were so bummed! So... a whole day of fun, and not a picture to show for it!

(Daddy was still out of town for work that Friday, and didn't get back until the next day.)

Visiting My Great-Grandmother in Cape Cod, Massachusetts

Last week, Mommy had a meeting for work. In Cape Cod. (Isn't her job cool?!) My great-grandmother, Grannie's Mom, lives in Massachusetts about two hours from Cape Cod. Daddy had a great idea, and suggested that Grannie and I fly to Massachusetts with Mommy. Then, after her meeting was over, we could visit Great-Grandma Earlene and Great-Grandpa Charlie. What an awesome idea! So, with lots of Daddy's help, we found flights and made a plan. As things turned out, Grannie found a last minute ticket for Paw-Paw, so he joined us, too. We were really sad Daddy couldn't come with us, since he's never met my great-grandparents either. Unfortunately he was in Pittsburgh for work. (He's really busy with work in Pittsburgh right now!)

We spent most of our time at the hotel, since Mommy was working. That was okay, though. It gave us all a chance to visit. I had a really good time playing with Great-Grandma Earlene, and she was beyond thrilled to visit and play with me. And of course she loved my red hair - most of her siblings are red heads!

Mommy took this picture when we first saw them. Great-Grandma was very anxious to hold me. Sometimes I can be very timid and shy, so Mommy was afraid I might cry. But I was such a sweet little boy! We had to take this picture quickly, because it didn't last long, but I obliged for a quick hold!

The only thing seperating our hotel from the bay was a road. I enjoyed stretching my legs in the grass. There were pretty birds and I had fun watching them, too!



I gave Great-Grandma lots of hugs and kisses. They made her really happy!

After all of Mommy's meetings and work were over, we took some time to explore a little. We drove to the Cape Cod National Seashore - the Atlantic Ocean! The water was so incredibly cold! I was complete infactuated by the big waves, and really wanted to run straight into them. It was like one giant bathtub, and you know how much I love my baths!

There was a small aquarium where we were staying. It's the oldest aquarium in the US! They had two harbor seals who do short performances during feeding time.

Two weeks ago, Mommy and I flew on a big airplane to Detroit. Daddy was working there, so we met him and spent a long weekend. We used to live there, and still have a lot of very dear friends, so it was a lot of fun seeing them and visiting! We crammed a lot of excitement (and a lot of people) into a short period of time.

We flew in on Thursday night. We stayed with our friends, Nancy and Kerry. They took such good care of us! Mrs. Nancy was very excited to have me staying at her house. She had all kinds of treats for me - yogurt, juice, animal cracker, goldfish crackers... It was almost like being at Grannie's house! And they have a staircase at their house. Boy, did I have a great time climbing up and down the stairs! I had no problem going up, but I wasn't sure about how to get down. Mrs. Nancy showed me how, and I learned really quickly. Mommy and Daddy chased me up and down the stairs a lot!

We met up with our friends, Uncle Eric, Aunt Amy, and Kayla. (If they look familiar, it's because they visited us here in Louisiana in April!) We met them at a big mall. We rode the carousel and got to ride the rides and play games at Jeepers (sort of like a Chuck E. Cheese, but without the animated shows). It was fun!

That evening, we had dinner at Mr. Kerry's and Mrs. Nancy's house. Fr. Mike joined us there. We had a great time visiting. It was a beautiful evening, so we sat out on the back deck for a while. They have pretty flowers on their deck. Mr. Kerry even found a wooden chair just my size!

Saturday morning we went to visit our old neighbors, Mr. Steve, Mrs. Jen, Stephanie, and Samantha. I had lots of fun playing with Stephanie and Samantha.

Stephanie is 3 years old, and Samantha is 10 months old.

We had lunch with Adriana, Mommy's former little sister through Big Brothers/Big Sisters. It was great to see her, too! That evening, we went to Mr. Paul's and Mrs. Judy's house for dinner. Also at dinner were Mr. Kenneth and Mrs. Erika, Ms. Cheryl, and Mr. Greg, Mrs. Teresa, and Erin. Erin is seven months old.

Sunday we went to Mass at the Cathedral and saw all of our friends there. We were especially excited to see my "Detroit Grannies", Mrs. Marcella and Mrs. Odell, as well as Mrs. Donna, Mr. Mike, the Fadoir family, and many others. But, after Mass, we had to go to the airport to return home.

We had a fabulous weekend, and were sad to say goodbye to everyone again. We hope we can go back again sometime soon to visit. Thanks to everyone there who made our weekend so much fun!

A Fun Week

Last weekend, Mommy, Daddy, and I went to Houston! We met Parin and Aunt Emmy there, and Grannie and Paw-Paw came, too. It was all so they could take me to the zoo! We drove over Friday night and stayed at a hotel, then spent Saturday morning at the zoo. We drove back that night. I had a great time. Unfortunately, Mommy hasn't gotten the pictures off her camera yet, so I'll share more details soon. For now, here's a picture of me in the car on the way to Houston.



Daddy had to work Friday, so we couldn't leave until that afternoon. After my nap, I sat in my chair in the living room to have some milk. My friend, Curious George, joined me.



Paw-Paw's out of school for the summer, so this week he came with Grannie to play withe me. Monday afternoon they took me to the mall to ride the carousel, one of my favorite things to do! The night, I found a dollar and Paw-Paw told me I have to save my dollars (or his dollars!) for the horsey. Well, I knew what that meant! I immediately walked to the front door, begging to go outside. I had my dollar and was ready for the carousel. Too bad it was after 8 pm, and the carousel was closed. Grannie told me the horseys had to go 'night-night'. Then it was time for me to take a bath and go 'night-night' with George.


In a few hours, Mommy and I are going to the airport. We're flying to meet Daddy in Detroit! We're going to visit all our friends for the weekend. We're very excited! It's going to be so much fun. I have grown so much since they last saw me... I wonder if anyone will recognize me.....?

Uncle James, Bring on the Steaks!

Why steaks? Because I now have a molar! Yep, while we were playing this morning, Mommy noticed that I've cut a new molar - my first! So, Uncle James - I'm ready for steak!

This weekend was great! Mommy, Daddy, and I relaxed at home together. I got to play on my swingset a lot! Here are some pictures from a couple times I played today!

The Detroit Red Wings are in the Stanley Cup Playoffs! Mommy and Daddy were really excited that Game 1 was on tv here last night. They even dressed me for the occassion!

Tonight Daddy grilled chicken for dinner. Mmmm.... I love chicken!
