Vrooom....Vroooom......

Two Sundays ago Mommy and I met Grannie and Paw-Paw in Lafayette for lunch. Daddy had to stay in Pittsburgh that weekend, so Mommy and I just wanted something to do! She also needed to pick up a few things at Babies R Us, and even thought there's one in Baton Rouge, it's always fun to shop when there's someone to entertain me. So... these were enough "excuses" for her to call Grannie and Paw-Paw to come meet us. So, after church we headed west!
Mommy packed a bag for me to stay overnight at Grannie's and Paw-Paw's house in Jennings. We thought that would help Grannie - she could head back to Baton Rouge mid-day that Monday, since Mommy leaves for work at 5:40 AM and Daddy wouldn't be home.

And, what would a trip to Babies R Us & Toys R Us with Grannie and Paw-Paw be like if they didnt' buy me something? It would be wierd! Daddy tells me I'm very loved, and that's why I get so many gifts. And I know he's right! Initially Grannie wanted to get me a Lenny (from the Wonder Pets) and a new Wonder Pets DVD (she's tired of the one I have!). I got a Lenny - and some other things, too. But most of it was for Grannie's and Paw-Paw's house so when I'm there I have toys to play with.

But the best part is a new Little Tikes Cozy Coupe - yep, you know the one! And that evening when we got to Jennings, I got to help Paw-Paw assemble it! And Grannie (knowing Mommy and her blogging addiction very well) documented the process on film, err digital memory. I was such a big helper to Paw-Paw!

I was very concerned about getting the steering wheel installed. I mean, what good is a car if it only goes straight?

Once the steering wheel was taken care of, I followed behind Paw-Paw to make sure all the screws were tightly fastened. I wouldn't want a wheel or a headlight falling off while I'm driving now, would I?

Paw-Paw did a pretty good job. I only had to tighten a few screws. Then, it was ready for my to get in! I rode around the halls of their house all evening!

After my bath, I got my snack and cup of milk, started my new Wonder Pets DVD, and settled into my seat at the drive-in theatre.

Ah.... Life is good!

My Weekend Morning Ritual

We get The Advocate (the Baton Rouge newspaper) on Saturdays and Sundays. Recently, I've been going with Daddy to get the paper out of our driveway on those mornings.

Aunt Leslie & Mr. Potato Head

Friday night Mommy and I went to Aunt Leslie's house to hang out. We had so much fun! Aunt Leslie gave me a new toy - a Mr. Potato Head! Aunt Leslie and I had lots of fun being goofy with the pieces.

I'm so silly!!

Mommy and I brought cupcakes for dessert. They had blue frosting and were yummy! Aunt Leslie says these pictures look like I just ate a Smurf!

I can't wait to see you again, Aunt Leslie!!!!

Playing with Brooklyn

Saturday evening, Mommy's friend from college, Mrs. Aimee, came over with her husband Mr. Jimmy and their daughter, Brooklyn. Brooklyn is 6 weeks older than me, so we had a great time playing together! Here's some pictures from our evening!

We played outside on my swingset for a while!

After dinner we played with my toys inside.

For some reason, I decided that Curious George needed a ride on my lawn mower.
Then, I decided that BOTH of my Curious Georges needed to ride together!
Then.... I took Brooklyn for a ride!
We had a great time!! I hope I get to see Mr. Jimmy, Mrs. Aimee, and Brookly again really really soon!

Splash Day!

Saturday was Splash Day for our St. Jude playgroup. I got ready that morning, donning my awesome swimtrunks, shirt, hat, shoes, and sunglasses - I'm such a fashionista!

I had a great time! They had lots of sprinklers, a slip-n-slide, and a pool. It was really hot, but I was covered in sunblock, so Mommy let me run free!
I found a basketball and was really excited!

My favorite place was splashing in the pool!

Sitting at the end of the slip-n-slid was fun, too!

And yet another ball to throw around!

I had a fabulous time playing with my playgroup friends!!!

Fun Days at Home (& LOTS of pictures!)

I don't get to watch very much television at all. It's okay - I'm totally happy playing with my toys, reading my books, and entertaining everyone around me. But... there is one show I do get to watch occassionally (usually on DVD or On-Demand): Wonder Pets. It's a story of three classroom pets (Tuk the turtle, Linny the hampster, and Ming-Ming the duck) who rescue baby animals after the schoolkids go home. Grannie and Paw-Paw gave me some Wonder Pets pajamas. I love them! I even have my own superhero cape!

Then I decided I needed my aligator slippers and swimming hat on - I'm so cute!
Last week I spent one night at Grannie's and Paw-Paw's house because Grannie had a retirement party to attend. I got to get dressed up and go to the party wtih them. I had fun climbing the stairs at the party.

Later that evening, I found a new toy at Grannie's and Paw-Paw's house. Hmm... I wonder if this will be mine one day....???

I've also gotten to play outside a lot, too. I love having my very own playground in my backyard.

I love my Sparky dog!
And my newest obsession is helping Mommy sweep the floors. So she usually gives me the dust mop while she sweeps. But... one isn't enough for me! I had to have them both!
Last weekend we went to Mr. William's house in Metarie for a barbeque. When we got home, Daddy brought the ice chest inside. I had a great time digging in the ice!
And I've learned to say "cheese" when I see the camera. Here's my "cheese smile"!

I get to go to the mall to ride the carousel a lot, but you knew that already! Here's one of me (very excited) with Daddy!

When Dadd works from home, I try lots to help him. I know my way around the computer!!

And I get some really important phone calls on my cell phone.

And I like playing with my blocks, too! (Notice my outfit has carousel horses on it!)
