Wow... it's been a while since I posted something. We rang in the new year quietly - we were all in bed asleep before 11 PM CST. I think it's Mommy's and Daddy's way of hoping that 2009 with be a calm and happy year for us. Last year was a very exciting and emotion one for our family, and brought a lot of changes. We hope 2009 gives us the chance to just sit back and enjoy our family, new home, and friends.
We spent the rest of that week and weekend just relaxing, enjoying our time together, and doing things around our house. Mommy got all the Christmas decorations packed away. Daddy took care of lots of honey-do's. Mommy reorganized my bedroom (with my help, of course!) so we could put all of my great Christmas gifts away.
Sunday we had lunch at Daddy's cousin Karen's house. I got to see Gram, Mr. Bob, and Daddy's Uncle Jim, Aunt Barbara, and cousins Chase and Brandon while we were there.
This week was Mommy's first week back at work for a whole week since the holidays. So we're finally settling back into a normal routine again. Daddy was in Detroit for work this week from Monday until last night. It was a typical week for us.
Today was a busy one for me! This morning, Mommy and I went to a play group at our new church, St. Jude. I got to meet and play with a bunch of new friends. There were about 20 kids there, all between my age and four years old. They were all really nice, and Mommy enjoyed visiting with the other moms. They have this play group every-other Friday, so I hope we get to keep going!
On our way home from the play group, I fell asleep and took a nap - I guess I played too much! I had to go to the doctor for a check up after my nap. She said I'm a "perfect little boy". (haha - she said little!) I now weigh 24 lbs. 3 oz. and am 31 inches long! I'm just barely over average for my weight, but I'm way above the growth curves for my height. Mommy told the doctor I'm trying really hard to crawl and almost have it figured out, I'm sitting up really well on my own (Dr. Reed says I have excellent posture.), talking/jabbering a lot, eating all kinds of foods Mommy and Grannie make for me, and try pulling myself up to a standing position on anything I can grab! Dr. Reed said I'm extremely ahead of where the average 7 month old is in development. Then I surprised here - I said "moma" while we were there and looked at Mommy. Dr. Reed was really surprised that I could say that and know who Mommy was! It wasn't my first time to say it - I've been saying it for over a week now. She told Mommy to start reducing my formula intake, and increasing my solid foods. She also said I can eat just about anything I want to eat!
And... if that wasn't enough excitement for one day, I'm cutting a top tooth! Mommy could see it coming through my gums tonight when she bathed me. So, it's been a rough evening. I was running a fever - probably a combination of the tooth and my immunizations. But Mommy and Daddy gave me Tylenol, then a cool bath, and lots of love. I'm in bed now, and have been sleeping well for about an hour. Mommy and Daddy hope I sleep through the night and keep feeling okay. And so do I!
That's all for now... I have to rest so I can get this tooth out and not run any more of a fever! Mommy has some pictures to post, and hopefully she'll get to that really soon!

Bread & A New Carseat
Saturday Grannie and Paw-Paw got me a new carseat as another Christmas present. I outgrew my old infant seat already - I don't fit in it anymore because I'm so tall. This one is a "big boy seat," because it faces the front of the car. Even though I'm not a year old yet, I already exceed the height and weight limits of all the rear-facing seats. I love my new carseat!

After church Saturday, we went to eat dinner. I got a plate with some bread. I thought I was really hot stuff with my own plate!

Bulldog Victory
Mommy, Daddy, Parin, & Aunt Emmy went to the Idependence Bowl last night. (I got to stay at Paw-Paw's and Grannie's where it was warm!) The Bulldogs won the game!

Fun at Grannie's and Paw-Paw's
Friday we went to Jennings to celebrate Christmas with Mommy's family. All our cousins and aunts and uncles were there. We had a great time. It's the first time that all the kids were together.

That night Parin and Aunt Emmy gave me a bath. And Aunt Emmy even got in the bathtub with me!
Parin fed me breakfast Saturday morning.
My cousins Ryan and Ethan live in Jennings now. They moved back from Missouri about the same time we moved from Michigan. They came over to play with me Saturday morning.
Parin took me outside to play. If you remember, I showed you pictures about 2 months ago of me riding Parin's pedal tractor. Yesterday Parin got the trailer out for it and took me for a ride! He told me that when he was little, he used to give Mommy rides just like this!

Christmas Day with Paw-Paw, Grannie, Parin, & Aunt Emmy
Grannie and Paw-Paw spent the night at our house Christmas Eve, so they were there when I woke up. We were waiting for Parin and Aunt Emmy to get to our house, and Grannie and Paw-Paw gave me one of my gifts early.
Here I am opening the present. It's a really big box!

Then Aunt Emmy and Parin gave me a present. It's a cute outfit and some bath toys!

Mommy, Daddy, Parin, and Aunt Emmy all got new Louisiana Tech sweatshirts. I tried Aunt Emmy's on - it's nice and soft!
They gave me a new horsey to ride!!
After riding the horse for about thirty minutes, I took a nap.
When I woke up, Parin and Aunt Emmy were at my house!
I missed them and was really excited to see them!
I got to open even more presents. Here I am opening another one from Paw-Paw and Grannie.
And another one from Paw-Paw and Grannie. They gave me a suitcase of my very own - it says "Going to Paw-Paw's and Grannie's" on it. And it was full of new clothes and big hooded bath towels!

That's all for Christmas Day. There's more to come, but first Mommy, Daddy, Parin, and Aunt Emmy must go watch the bulldogs win the Independence Bowl game! (They're in Shreveport where it's cold. I'm in a snuggly warm house with Grannie and Paw-Paw.)

Christmas Morning
Christmas Eve with Gram & Mr. Bob
Last night, after Mass, we had Gram, Mr. Bob, Ms. Michelle, and Mr. Andy over to celebrate Christmas. We had a good time, and I got more presents! Here's some pictures from that!

Christmas with Grandpa & Mrs. Judy
Sunday evening we got together with Grandpa and Mrs. Judy for Christmas. We got to see her daughters and their husbands, Kacie & Seth and Loren & Josh, and Kacie's new baby Denver. Here are a couple pictures from that dinner.
