9 Days until I'm one!
What a Silly Boy!

I've started walking - a little. I can do it, and have taken several steps accidentally. But I'm still a little timid of just "letting go". But, if there's something for me to hold onto - watch out 'cause I'm gone! I'm getting taller, too. I go back to the doctor next week - we're anxious to see what my height and weight are! We know I've grown, there's no doubt about that. And not only have I grown, but so has my hair. It seems like it's really gotten thicker and longer and brighter over the past month or so. The other night after my bath, Grannie made my hair stand up. I thought it was funny. While I was brushing my teeth (which I LOVE to do) and being silly, Mommy took some pictures of my new 'do.
And it's a good thing I like brushing my teeth, because I have also discovered that I really enjoy eating corn on the cob! Mommy made some last week, but cut it off the cob for me. But, I wanted the corn off everyone else's plate because it looked like a lot more fun to eat. So finally Mommy broke down and gave me my own cob. And I really enjoyed it. Without a doubt, when I was finished, there was no corn left on that cob. It was so yummy!
This past weekend we spent a few days in Ruston. Mommy had a meeting to attend, so Daddy and I hung out at the hotel. We visited the Kings, the Gallaghers, and the Gates'. And Sunday was Mommy's first Mother's Day. We didn't do anything exciting - just hung out at home. That's what Mommy wanted to do. Sunday night we went out to dinner with Grannie and Paw-Paw. Paw-Paw was lonesome, so they came over to see me. Mommy and Daddy took some pictures when we were in Ruston, but they're still on the camera. Hopefully Mommy can get those posted really soon!

Special Second Edition for Today (Edited and Ammended 04.29.2009)

(We just realized there's a big mistake on this drawing, for which Mommy is very apologetic. She mis-instructed me on my use of colors. The appropriate color configuration is shown below. She promises that by the time I enroll in college at Louisiana Tech in a few years, I'll know the correct way to draw it. Thankfully this has already been washed away by the rain. I'll draw another and post a corrected version soon!)

Tonight Mommy made me some mashed potatoes, green beans, a slice of bread, and roast beef for dinner. She made herself a roast beef po-boy. As if I couldn't tell the difference! I knew what I wanted, and didn't stop until I got it! So, I ate half of Mommy's po-boy for her! I bit down on the whole thing - two layers of French bread and the roast beef. I loved it!

More Crawfish!

(Yes, that's a Homer Simpson pink frosted donut!)
After the wedding, we boiled crawfish at our house. Aunt Emmy and Parin don't get much good seafood in Fort Worth, so we took care of them.

Mommy and Daddy LOVE this last picture!
