Sunday with Grannie & Paw-Paw

Sunday Grannie and Paw-Paw came to visit me. Mommy was helping to chair the neighborhood Christmas party and was committed to helping with that all day Sunday. Since Daddy had to stay out of state for work through the weekend unexpectedly, Mommy called Grannie and Paw-Paw in as "backup". So they let me entertain them and love on them while Mommy worked.

Grannie and Paw-Paw brough me a wreath made out of 24 small round boxes. I get to open one box each day until Christmas Eve! I opened one last night - and I got a new Hot Wheels car! Tonight I got a toy wooden clacker. This is going to be FUN!

Grannie and Paw-Paw also brought me the Little People Nativity Set. I'm having so much fun playing with baby Jesus and constantly re-arranging the people. It's fun!

I even like to feed Baby Jesus!

Grannie and Paw Paw took me to the Christmas Party to see Mommy and take a picture with Santa. And we think the photographer got a good picture, but we'll have to wait 'til Mommy gets it via email to be sure! I got to play on the see-saw at the party!

Snow?

Snow? Why yes, it did snow a little tiny bit Friday night. But I was already in bed, and Mommy surely wasn't waking me up for it. Besides, after 5+ years in Michigan, I think she's pretty much "over" the snow. But I did have my own little powdery white mess Saturday morning. Mommy bought some white powdered donuts for me!

Of course, as soon as Mommy put two donuts on my tray I spotted the holes in them instantly. I immediatly stuck my fingers in the holes and held the donuts up!

They were just so yummy and so much fun! I hope I get to have some again very soon!

It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas....

Last weekend, when we got back from Grandpa's, it was time to decorate for Christmas! Mommy and Daddy bought new ornaments for our tree this year - the shatterproof kind! I was fascinated with the big box of ornaments and couldn't wait to get home and play with them!

I helped to get them all sorted and ready to put on the tree!

I put hooks on each one.

I had to wear my Santa hat to be in the Christmas spirit!
Then I put the ornaments on the tree!

We had so much fun!

Then I took my bath and put on my new Christmas pajamas!

And was ready for bed! Decorating is a lot of hard work!

Thanksgiving at Grandpa's

Daddy, Mommy, and I went to Atlanta for Thanksgiving. I got to fly on an airplane again! We spent a few day's at Grandpa's house visiting Daddy's extended family. We had a great time!

Four Generations:
Me, Grandpa (Tom), Daddy, and Grandpa (Bruce)

Aunt Julie has several grandsons, so she keeps a collection of toys at her house. She was so nice and brought some of them over to Grandpa's house where we were staying so that I'd have things to play with.

One of my cousins (Aunt Julie's grandsons), Benjamin, was born two weeks after I was. So we're only two weeks apart. He's much smaller than I am, though. I thought he was a baby and kept asking Mommy if I could hold him.

I finally go to "hold the baby"!!

Cousin Dawn invited us to her house for dinner and a bonfire. I got to eat a cupcake!

Daddy had fun playing with me to distract me and keep me away from teh big fire!

Up, Up, and Away!

Grannie and Paw-Paw gave me my Christmas present a little early. They wanted me to start enjoying it while there were some pretty sunny days. It's amazing! It's a motorized airplane I can ride! I'm obsessed with airplanes, so it's perfect! Right now, I ride in the remote control mode - someone has to "fly" the airplane for me. Once I learn to drive it, they can change teh settings and let me control it with the foot pedal. I've been taking it for rides down teh sidewalk in our neighborhood. It's so much fun!

18 Months Old

I'm now one-and-a-half years old! I'm growing up so fast! Mommy took me to see Dr. Reed for my 18 month check-up. I am now 35.5" inches tall and 34 lbs. Just half an inch and I'll be able to ride most anything at Disney World next month! Actually.... they checked my height bare-footed, and at Disney I'll be wearing shoes!

It's strange to think that a year ago, my head was barely higher than the back of the chair! Won't be long, and I think I'll need a new bigger chair!

One of my favorite things to do is sit in a basket... the laundry basket, toy baskets... just about any I can find! This is the basket for my Mr. Potato Heads and their accessories. I decided to dump it out one evening and have a seat!

Recent Happenings

The past week has been a typical one. Friday I went to the dentist for the first time. Mommy took me to see Dr. Hunt at Pediatric Dental Specialists. They specialize in taking care of little mouths like mine. I wasn't too excited about a strange person touching my teeth, but I reluctantly cooperated a little and let her clean my teeth. She said they look great!

When Daddy gives me a bath, he puts the washcloth on my head and calls me Washcloth Baby! I just giggle and laugh (then throw the wet washcloth out of the bathtub onto Daddy, getting him all wet!).

I have a recent fascination with steering wheels. I like to sit in the front seat of the car and pretend to drive. I was sitting in Paw-Paw's truck when I found his sunglasses. Don't I look cool?

Every week, Grannie and I go to story time at the Library. Friday Mommy took me to the library to get my own library card so that Grannie and I can get books when we go!

I was enjoying a cupcake with red icing. It was so much fun!

I'm such a handsome little dude!

My 1st Haircut

Yesterday afternoon I got my first haircut! We went to a place called Pigtails & Crewcuts that specializes in children's haircuts. I got to sit in a shiny red fire engine and drive while the nice lady cut my hair. I was such a good boy, too! I sat still and never cried or whined once! And although there was a good bit of hair cut off, especially on the sides and back, I still have my curls!!!

Watch out world -- I am one handsome little boy now!
