Christmas Day at Gram's and Papa's House

We headed over to Gram's and Papa's house for lunch.  When we got there, I saw a big brown-wrapped box and it had an "M" and a "W", so I knew that meant it was for me and Madeline.  It wasn't long before we got the okay to open it!

It was a new picnic table!  I guess Santa didn't tell Gram and Papa his secret.  It's okay, we can use them both!  Papa set it up for us so we could eat lunch at it.

We kept opening presents.  I got a new book that makes noises!

I had all kinds of presents to open, too!

I kept opening presents, too -- Mommy's and mine!

Then one of mine was a little purple laptop!  I love anything with buttons!

And still more presents.  We got all kinds of nice things!

Even thought it was cold, I still got to go outside to try out my new remote control monster truck with Papa!

Thanks for all the stuff, Gram and Papa!

Santa did find Grangie's and PawPaw's house!!

After we played with our Santa presents at our house for a while, Mommy and Daddy got us dressed and ready to head to Gram's and Papa's for the day.  But on our way out of the neighborhood, we stopped at Grangie's and PawPaw's to see if Santa's reindeer found their food and stopped!  And boy did they.

Grangie and PawPaw came to the van and got us.  They carried us inside.

And here's what we found!!!!  Yes, in the living room.  Santa moved all the furniture out!  (I think Sprinkles may have helped him a little!)

So we got to play for a while, of course.  It was so much fun!  And when Grangie and Mommy explained to Bubby that this jumper is for US.  We get to KEEP it FOREVER, the fun was even better!!!

Man, Santa sure is good!

4:33 AM. Time to see what Santa brought?

Yes, you read the title right.  At 4:33 AM, I walked into Mommy and Daddy's bedroom.  It went something like this...

ME: Mommy, let's go see what Santa brought us!
MOMMY: William, it's 4:33 AM.
ME: Is that morning time?
MOMMY: No, now go back to sleep

So I crawled in their bed and dosed back to sleep.  At some point (much much) later, Madeline woke up and they brought her into the bed, too.  She was trying to wake me up, and I didn't seem to be budging.  It must have finally been morning time, because Mommy told her to "wake Bubby up and tell him you're ready to go open your presents from Santa!"

And that's all it took.  Bubby was out of that bed fast!  And off we went to the living room.  And this is what we found!

Good thing Bubby took time to put out those cookies, 'cause Santa sure was hungry!

All of our stockings were stuffed, too!

I got the BBQ Grill, just like I asked Santa for!  And I knew it was mine because there was a big "W" on the tag!!

And I got a new pink and purple push car!  Now when Bubby wants to ride his bike, I don't have to be strapped into a stroller; I get a fun car!  With a horn that honks!

Then there was a table with chairs and an umbrella for both of us!  We think it must be for our new deck!

We spent quite a lot of time playing around with our new presents and showing them to each other, sitting at our table, eating food Bubby "grilled", and more!

Then I remembered the cookies.... I hd to check to make sure he really ate them!

And it's stocking time!  What's the quickest and easiest way to see what you got?  Dump it!

I was much more dainty.

Am I not just the cutest thing ever!?!

Santa's Coming! Santa's Coming! Santa's Coming!

Christmas Eve.  Man, that was one crazy night!  Daddy had downloaded the NORAD Santa Tracker app to Mommy's iPhone, so all day long I got to track Santa to see if he was getting closer to me.  We got to Grangie's and PawPaw's after Mass, and immediately I grabbed my bag of reindeer food and ran outside to put it around in their grass.  After all, I need the reindeer to find their house, too!

We had dinner, and before everyone could put their forks down I was begging to hurry and get home.  After all, SANTA WAS COMING FAST!!!  He was in the Bahamas, and that's super close!  We rushed out of there super fast.  When I got home, I grabbed my other bag of reindeer food, ran outside, dumped it in ONE spot, and ran back in.  I was ready to go to sleep so Santa could come and Evan could leave!

Not so fast, though.  I'd forgotten all about Santa's cookies and milk!  Silly me!  I tossed a few cookies on a plate, took a fast pictures, then was under my covers in no time!  Santa, bring it!

Just One....!

After we opened presents at home, I took a good long nap!  When I woke up, Mommy got me dressed and we all went to Mass.  Grangie and PawPaw were there, too.  For going to church at 6:30 PM, with a pretty full church and longer Mass, we were super well behaved!  After Mass, we went to dinner at Grangie's and PawPaw's house.  We even got comfy in our Christmas pajamas Grangie made for us!  While we were waiting to eat (the casserole had to bake!), they let us each open up ONE PRESENT!!!!!!

I got a princess ride-on toy.  I just LOVE it!  It plays music and has blocks, too.  It's great!

I was super excited when I opened my present.  I got all the "Bob Machines" (construction equipment characters from the "Bob the Builder" series)!!  I've had so much fun playing with them, too!

Thanks, Grangie and PawPaw!!!  We love you!!

Finally - We know what was under our tree!!

For weeks now, we've had a bunch of presents wrapped under our tree.  For Madeline, it was no big deal.  But me... I knew which ones had a "W" on the tag.  And that meant it was for ME!  As Christmas neared, I constantly asked Mommy and Daddy "Is tomorrow Christmas, the day we get to open our presents?"  Finally, it was here!

First, we gave Daddy his present.  He only got to go first because his had to be delivered.  Outside.  It was too big!  PawPaw and Grangie brought it to our house for Mommy.  (I think she was hiding it at their house!)  So I led Daddy outside with his eyes closed, and Madeline trailed behind!

It's a big tool cabinet!  It's shiny red, too.  He was super excited!

I even crawled outside, careful not to mention any of the action!  I helped rip the paper off the second box - the larger base of the tool cabinet.  I know Daddy appreciated my help!

Then it was back inside to get on with the present opening.  It was mine and Bubby's turns!  Daddy started handing out presents and Mommy started snapping pictures.  Bubby may have been faster, but I sure did open all of my presents on my own!

Our first present was very special.  We got matching Curious George blankets that Mommy made for us!  Grangie embroidered our names on them so we know who's is who's.

Then I got Cranium Playground.  It looks like a lot of fun!

I made sure to check the tags on all my presents to make sure I only had those with a "W" on them!

And I continued to open my presents, too.  I got Dumbo on DVD!  Finally, som girly movies -- not just trains and trucks and construction!

I was a little bit excited about my Cars 2 DVD and Cars music CD!

And I got my very own Curious George plush!  I constantly try to borrow Bubby's.  Mine is wearing pajamas, and his aren't, so they'll be easy to tell apart!

Woooooh!  New Thomas the Train engines!

I am totally in love with this dancing puppy!  I love to clap and dance with it!

And my very own Cabbage Patch Kid doll!  As I'm told, this is the same CPK that Mommy had as a little girl, except her doll had red yarn hair.  I'm so excited to have it, and my favorite thing it to take her shoes off, of course, just like I like to do for myself!

William's Christmas Gifts for the Family

After lunch on Christmas Eve, I finally got to give everyone my presents I bought for them!  See, we had a "Reindeer Shop" at my school.  We got to go in there to buy presents for our family members.  I came home with them the week after Thanksgiving, I immediately put them under the tree, and kept them a secret!  Everyone was so impressed that I kept the secret for so long.  But I was really excited to give them!

I gave Madeline a pretty, soft, white Minky dot blanket!  She loved it!

I got Daddy an LSU koozie.  Enough said.  He loved it, of course!

PawPaw got a visor cd organizer.  He was super excited, too!

Mommy didn't get pictures of herself or Grangie opening their gifts because they were sitting side-by-side (as I had assigned) on the blue couch.  I gave Grangie a really bright and pretty dustpan and brush.  She's been eyeing something similar at Hobby Lobby for a long time, so she was really excited to get it.  And I got Mommy a beautiful black and white scarf.  She even wore it to church that night, she loved it so much!

And when we were opening them, Madeline surprised me with a present!  She chose a firetruck paint set for me.  I'm so excited to get to paint the firetruck canvas!
