I'm now eating lots of vegetables. Sure, the books say I shouldn't try any "solid foods" before I'm 6 months old. But I've been eating cereal (rice and oatmeal) since I was about 2 months old. And for the past month or so, I've been trying different vegetables. I've now eaten (in this order) butternut squash, carrots, peas, green beans, and yellow squash. For the most part, I like them all. I tried bananas with my cereal, but didn't like that at all. I can sit up in my high chair very well, so that's where I get to eat now. Sure, I still get lots of formula every day, too - the nutrition is important for a growing boy like me! (No, Mommy doesn't have pictures of me eating my veggies yet - Usually her hands are pretty full with my bowl, spoon, and a washcloth. She's going to try to get one, though, and put it up here.)
Now that I know you're supposed to eat food, I think I need to eat everyone's food! When I'm sitting in someone's lap while they're eating, I open my mouth really big and try to eat their food right of the fork! Usually it doesn't work, but you can't fault me for trying! But I love ice water - probably because it's really cold and feels good on my gums. So if you hold me, and you're drinking anything in a glass, I'll grab the glass with both hands, pull it to my mouth, and drink your water! (It's very entertaining to see me do both - hopefully Mommy can get a video clip for me to post on here soon!)
I'm still rolling over a lot. I love to laugh! And my new favorite thing is to put my feet into my mouth. I do this especially in the bathtub. (I must like clean toes!) And I'm learning to make the pluuuuugghhhh sound with my tongue on my lips by blowing air. (Know what I mean?) I'm still working at sitting up on my own. If I'm supported I can stay sitting up for a long time. I can't do it all by myself yet, but it won't be long. I get stronger every day! I'm still sleeping through the night - usually from about 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM. Mommy and Daddy love that! And I'm starting to recognize my name, and when I hear someone say "William", I turn and look at them.
On Sunday I had lunch with Aunt Leslie. I sat in the high chair at Monjuni's all by myself! I'm getting to be such a big boy. :o) Aunt Leslie brought me a Halloween present - a really cute bib and a stuffed animal. I would have probably been happy with just the bright orange tissue paper, but when she showed me the animal I was excited! Here's a picture of me and Aunt Leslie from Sunday. (And yes, that's a New Orleans Saints jersey I'm wearing, courtesy of Grannie and Paw-Paw!)

Keep checking back often - hopefuuly we'll get some more pictures and video posted soon! And Sunday Grannie and Paw-Paw are taking me to Trunk-or-Treat at Fr. Wayne's church. I get to wear my costume for my very first Halloween event! So definitely check back after that to see what my costume is...!
