A Weekend in the Big Easy

While we were in New Orleans, we visited the Aquarium, the Insectarium, and the Audubon Zoo. I absolutely loved seeing all the fish, bugs, and animals! The Aquarium was not very crowded, so I got to get out of my stroller and walk around to see all the fish myself. It was so much fun!
Parin took me to the top of the 'treehouse' in the Amazon Rainforest exhibit. That was fun!

Grannie, Paw-Paw, and I got to take a picture inside this shark's jaw!

The fish were beautiful! The colors were so bright!

They even had a "pirate ship" playset. That was a fun break in the middle of our tour.

I peaked through this view-hole to see like a fish does in an aquarium!

Aunt Emmy was being silly around the sea anemone.

We spent the night in New Orleans. The next morning, after breakfast, Mommy headed off to meet Aunt Leslie and some other girlfriends for their party. Daddy had to unexpectedly go back home early because of an illness in his family (everything's going okay now, thankfully), so they let me stay and hang out with Grannie, Paw-Paw, Parin, and Aunt Emmy. I don't get to see Parin and Aunt Emmy too often since they live in Fort Worth, so I had a great time playing with them all day and soaking up their attention! We headed over to St. Charles Ave. and hopped on a streetcar. It was my first ever streetcar ride!

At one of the transfer stops, there was a park with a playset, so of course I had to try out the slide a few times!

Then we went into the zoo! It was so much fun! I loved looking at all the animals and watching them and learning (and trying to say) their names.

We even found Smokey the Bear! I got to hug him and take a picture with him.

After that, we hung out in New Orleans for a little while, then met Uncle Donald and Aunt Barbara for dinner. Then we headed home. They dropped me of at home to meet Daddy and went on to Jennings. Parin and Aunt Emmy had to leave the next day. Mommy came home that Sunday. We went to the St. Jude Fair for a little while, but it was really cold, so I was asking to go home. It was a fun and exhausting weekend!
Oh... And thanks, Parin and Aunt Emmy, for the Easter Basket! I've been having lots of fun with everything, especially the sidewalk chalk!
