We're going to the zoo, zoo, zoo..... How about you, you, you.... You can come too, too, too..... We're going to the zoo, zoo, zoo!

Friday, Mommy took me to the Baton Rouge Zoo! We met up with three other moms and their five kids. We had a great time walking around and looking at all the animals! Mommy got an annual pass, so we can go back anytime! And Grannie's listed on the membership as my "nanny/caregiver," so she gets a pass, too. It's going to be a fun year!

We walked all around the zoo! Well, the mommies walked, and us kids rode in our strollers or wagons. The new Realm of the Tiger exhibit just opened last week, so we got one of the first glimpses at Baton Rouge's newest resident. He's just a young kitten still, but was very playful!

And we saw some elephants! They were really big. And stinky!

But I got super excited when I saw the Paw-Paw Birds!
(There's a long running joke in Mommy's family about pink flamingos and Paw-Paw. For his 50th birthday, some of their friends filled their front yard with plastic pink flamingos. He blamed Mommy for it, and it was quite a while before he found out who the real culprits were. When we were at Animal Kingdom at Disney World, we saw lots of pink flamingos. Parin was just joking and told me they were Paw-Paw Birds. And well, it's just stuck!)

And then we found the playground! Our mommies took us out of our strollers and let us run around and play together. We had a great time! My buddy, Aiden, and I hung out on the animals together a lot. We both really like animals.
(Aiden's mommy, Mrs. Erin, and my mommy grew up together. I'm sure there are lots of pictures of them together as kids. Now they live close to us, so Aiden and I get to hang out and play!)

We ended our zoo visit with the playground. The weather was starting to look really bad, and all us kids were getting hungry. Mommy and Mrs. Erin took Aiden and me to Chick-fil-A for lunch and to play on the playground there, since it's indoors. We had a great day and can't wait to do it again!
