For Easter weekend, Parin and Aunt Emmy came to town! It was so great to have them here with us all weekend. We had a great time! On Holy Saturday, everyone came over to our house. It was the first time we really got to enjoy our new deck that Daddy built at the end of last summer, and the new furniture we just got a few weekends before Easter. Daddy set up our pool for us, too, for some extra fun!

And Mommy and Daddy surprised me with my birthday present a little early..... a new trampoline! It's exactly what I'd asked for a few weeks earlier! Even Parin had some fun on it. :)

Then Grannie and Paw-Paw showed up with boiled crawfish and boiled shrimp for dinner! I think Aunt Emmy was pretty excited about her dinner!

Mommy and Daddy have this great picture of me when I was about 11 months old. It was my very first crawfish boil at Aunt Leslie's house.
They tried to get something similar with Madeline, but it didn't come out quite as well.

Everyone really enjoyed the crawfish!

Then more pool time!

Once everyone was finished with the seafood, the brought out dozens and dozens of boiled eggs for us to dye different colors! We used Kool-Aid for the dye. not only did they come out really dark and pretty, but it smelled delicious!

Mommy had read on Pinterest that using a wire whisk was handy for dying eggs. They weren't super effective, so we resorted back to spoons. Apparently Madeline thought her hands would be even more effective!

Then came the real fun! Parin and Mommy convinced me that we had some magic eggs!! I would tell the egg who's letter (first letter of their name) I wanted on it, drop it in the dye, then it would come out with their letter! It was amazing!! [Mommy's Note: The "magic" was attributable to a white crayon used under the table!]

And, since Parin's birthday was the weekend before Easter, Mommy and I made him some cupcakes for after dinner!

I even wrote a birthday card for him!
