Pumpkins, Pumpkins, Everywhere!

(It's William when it's green.  It's Madeline when it's purple.)

The weather Saturday was just great!  For the past three weeks, everyone in our house has taken turns being sick - all with sinus/allergy issues.  Daddy was still feeling under the weather, but the rest of us were dying to get out of the house.  Grangie and Paw-Paw wanted to take us to a pumpkin patch.  So we got up Saturday morning, loaded up Mommy's van, and off we went in search of some pumpkins!  Even Aunt Barbara joined in on the fun!

Silly people, they all thought I'd take my morning nap on the drive to the pumpkin patch.  After all, Mrs. Heather's Pumpkin Patch is in Hammond, LA, about an hour drive away from home.  But nope - I fooled them!  I stayed awake the whole time.  Bubby and I were snacking on some yogurt bites and drinking our milk!

When we finally arrived, Paw-Paw got our wagon out of the van, loaded us in it, and off we went.  Riding in the wagon is lots of fun!  We pulled up to the entrance, paid our admission fee (which included picking a pumpkin and doing all the activities!), and started exploring.  None of us had been there before, so we really didn't know what to expect!

The first thing we came to was a face painting station.  That looked like fun to me!  (Or maybe I'm just to naive to refuse?)  Bubby didn't want his face painted with a pumpkin, but I didn't mind!  Luckily the lady painting them was really good and really fast, so I didn't have to sit too still for very long!

I think I look pretty cute with that little pumpkin on my cheek!  Obviously Grangie agrees!

Once Madeline was done getting her pumpkin, we got back in the wagon and headed for the pumpkin patch!  There were thousands of pumpkins!  They were all so pretty and bright orange!

Of course, Mommy had to pose us for pictures.  I guess every parent wants their cute fall pictures to brag with on Facebook.  :)  I just love my shirt, by the way.  It's spiders on a web on a green shirt - Grangie did such a good job making it for me and it's just what I asked for!

William got up quickly to run off in search of more pumpkins, but I didn't mind sitting a bit longer and smiling for more pictures!

There were so many pumpkins to choose from!  Fat ones, short ones, tall ones, skinny ones, round ones, flat ones... gosh, it was really overwhelming!

Ah, I think I see one right here.  Now to pick it up.  I can do this, right?  Of course, these pumpkins are "William-sized"!  Here goes...

Wow!  Pumpkins are heavier than they look!  What's that?  I need two, one for Baby, too?  Uh, okay, no problem.  Good thing I have two hands!

Two pumpkins, coming right up.  Paw-Paw, catch!  Get them in the wagon!  They're heavy!

Mommy said picture time again, so I chose a spot.  Besides, after carrying those heavy pumpkins, I need a rest!

I want to be in the picture, too!  And thanks for getting me a pumpkin, Bubby!  I love it!

What a fun time we're having with Grangie and Paw-Paw!  We love them so much!

And Aunt Barbaray, too!  She and Uncle Donald are pretty much our adopted grandparents!

Hehehe... I'm stealing the spotlight again!  I'm just so cute!  (And I'm trying to eat all the grass, of course!)

More pictures again?  Seriously, Mommy, I just want to go play over there.  It all looks so fun!

Bubby's going play, but I want to see this scarecrow!

This was my favorite part!  A giant air pillow coming out of the ground.  I got to climb up, jump around, and slide down.  It was so much fun!  Can you see me in this picture?  Look for the green shirt over toward the right side on the top of the pillow.

This was so much fun!  Mommy had to tear me away after almost a half hour so we could do other stuff around there, but I came back later!

They had lots of fun "old school" playground equipment, too.  I was pretty impressive with this!

Paw-Paw even see-sawed with me!

This giant slide was lots of fun!  I must have gone down it at least two dozen times!

Then there was the kiddie zip line.  Mommy and Grangie didn't think I'd do it, but I decided to try and I LOVED it!  Paw-Paw must have stood in line with me ten time to ride it again!

While Bubby was playing on all the toys that I'm still too little for, Grangie and Aunt Barbara went walking with me.  We stopped to take a few pictures, of course!

This was really fun, too.  I got to pump water in an old pump and make the little rubber ducks go down the pipe.  I had a blast doing this!

Back to the play area!  This little standing merry-go-round was loads of fun!

I was starting to get hungry and tired, so we all packed up and headed out.  We grabbed lunch at Cane's, then headed on back home.  Bubby and I both napped in the car.  We were worn out!  Driving home to our house after we dropped Grangie, Paw-Paw, and Aunt Barbara off, I noticed a lot of our neighbors have pumpkins by their doors.  But what we're missing for our door is HAY!  I insisted that we get some hay.  Mommy agreed that would look nice, and said she knew just where to go.  So we left Madeline with Daddy to finish her nap, and Mommy and I headed over to Louisiana Nursery.  Not only did we find hay, but also a few mums, too.

We got home and immediately set out to assemble our decorations.  We stacked the hay bales and I set out to arrange all our pumpkins we got!

We re-arranged a few different ways....

Ta-Da!  Our pumpkins!

Complete with flowers.  I think it looks great!
