Tech Game with Parin, Grangie, and Paw-Paw

(It's William writing when it's green; it's Madeline writing when it's purple.)

Last weekend we went to our second Louisiana Tech game this year.  Mommy, Daddy, Madeline and drove up to Ruston after I got out of school Friday afternoon.  We got there about dinnertime.  On our way up there, my nose started running really bad.  We went through a whole package of Boogie Wipes!  And I was pretty miserable.  And we were both tired, even though we slept most of the trip, and we were hungry (because we were asleep when we passed through the areas with food!).

So when we got into Ruston, we checked into our hotel and brought our stuff up to our room.  Daddy went to get us dinner, while Mommy gave Madeline and I our baths.  We got to eat our dinner sitting on the beds in our room!  (It's the little things!)  Daddy and Madeline went to sleep, but I stayed awake with Mommy, patiently awaiting Parin's arrival.  He finally knocked on the door!  (Aunt Emmy couldn't come this weekend.)  Hello, second wind!  I missed him and was so excited to see him!  Eventually we went to sleep.

We got up the next morning and ate breakfast at the hotel.  I just love making waffles there!  Then we headed over to Tech's campus for a visit to the bookstore.  Parin took me on a walk through the Quad and told me how important that area is.  I think I'll probably go there when I get big.  Mommy, Daddy, Parin, Aunt Emmy, and Aunt Leslie all went to school there!

It's a good thing Parin had some pennies, because when he told me there was a fountain I needed them!  I threw a bunch of pennies into the Lady of the Mist fountain.

Parin and I took this picture right at the same spot where Mommy and Daddy got engaged in 2002 and where Parin and Aunt Emmy got engaged in 2007.

I got some time with Parin, too.  (Yes, I know he's really Bubby's Parin, not mine, but we're all so confused with the different names... Parin/Uncle Kent.... Parin/Uncle Donald.... Nanny/Aunt Emmy.... so it's just Parin for both of us....)  I got this cute little bulldog in the bookstore!

I just love him so much, especially when he kisses me!

After a visit to campus, we had lunch then went back to the hotel.  That's when Grangie and Paw-Paw got to town!  After naps, we packed up and headed to the stadium.  It was almost time for the pre-game pep rally when the band marches down the hill to the stadium.  I just LOVE watching the band!  Grangie and Paw-Paw snagged a front-row spot.  I immediately sat down, my full attention on the band for a solid twenty minutes.

I'm still not sure what to think about the band.  It's loud.  Really loud.  But it's music, and I love music!  As long as someone's holding me, I'm okay.

Parin was taking pictures, but I just sat there, starring.  I was totally enthralled!

We love our Paw-Paw and Grangie!

Then it was time to head into the stadium!  I thought I was big stuff.  I saw Bubby standing up to watch the team warming up before the game and I wanted to stand too.  Mommy was happy to oblige.  (I'm not really fond of standing up yet, so she gives me any opportunity she can get to practice my balance!)

We had a great time at the game, and can't wait for the next one!  (Who cares if the game was awful and the Bulldogs lost.  We didn't!)
