Christmas Morning

(Better late than never, right? We've been keeping Mommy super busy, and we just don't give her enough blogging time.)

Before going to bed on Christmas Eve, when we got home from Paw-Paw's and Grangie's house, I first had to go put out my Reindeer Food (crushed shredded wheat cereal). Mrs. Lindsay gave me a bag of Reindeer Food at our Play-n-Pray Christmas Party. I sprinkled it aaaaallllllllllll over our front yard. I walked around with the bag saying "A little bit here, a little bit over there, some right here...." Then I went inside to get Santa's snack ready, since the reindeer were taken care of. A few days before, I helped Mommy make some cookies. So I grabbed one of my plates, climbed on my stool, and chose three cookies for Santa. Then I got out my Curious George cup, grabbed the milk from the fridge, and helped Mommy pour some in the cup. I put it all on the stool by the fireplace, ready for Santa's visit. And off to bed I went. (Madeline was already asleep!)

When I woke up, Madeline was already up. Mommy and Daddy were up, too, and fresh homemade cinnamon rolls were baking in the oven. Grangie, Paw-Paw Mike, Parin, and Aunt Emmy had all just arrived for breakfast. (Everyone thought I'd be up earlier, considering my anticipation for Santa's visit!) I came down the hall and went straight to the front door! After all, I had to see if the reindeer had eaten all the food I'd sprinkled around for them. I couldn't find any - they ate it all!!

Then Mommy told me to look in the living room. And there it was.... a big new train set complete with a green locomotive! Santa had brought my 'green choo-choo train' I'd been asking for! There were some wrapped gifts, too. A remote control Thomas engine for my trainset at Grangie's and Paw-Paw Mike's house and some track switches as well.

Madeline got her very own pink and purple suitcase -- now her clothes don't have to go in my suitcase! And she got some new clothes, a Glo Worm, and a piggy bank!

We got stuff in our new stockings, too! Madeline got pacifiers, socks, some rattles and teething toys, and a Madeline doll. I got socks, big boy underwear, some puzzles, Pez candies, a train Pez dispenser, and some train bath toys.

Christmas morning was so much fun!
