Float Decorating

My preschool had a Mardi Gras parade Wednesday.  All the PreK-3 and PreK-4 classes had to bring decorated wagon 'floats' for the parade.  My class was the Krewe of Princesses and Super Heros.  I had to chose a super hero for my costume and float.  Here's how teh conversation with Mom went about that:

Mommy: William, you need to pick a super hero for your parade for your costume and float.  Who do you want to be?
Me: What's a super hero?
Mommy: You know, like Batman, Spiderman, Superman?
<>
Me: The UPS Man?
Mommy:  Um, no, not quite.

After a lot of thinking, and with some suggestions from other friends, Mommy finally suggested Super Why to me.  And I loved that idea.  I really love watching Super Why!!

So Tuesday afternoon, Mommy came home with lots of supplies, including some great sparkly paper.  We borrowed Grangie's Cricut, headed home, and set to work.

First we cut out lots of letters using the Cricut.  We made them in sparkly purple, green, and yellow.

Then we wrapped my wagon sides in green paper.

Mommy helped me use hot glue to glue the letters on the sides, then I got to add a bunch of Mardi Gras stickers!

Mommy made the backboard for me out of poster board.  The front had Mardi Gras masks and the back had the Super Why logo.  Grangie made me this great Super Why shirt and cape!

Now I'm ready for my parade!
